I don’t know what took us so long. Initially, I balked at the hefty $60 price tag of a scanning thermometer. People had suggested that we purchase one when Jasper entered daycare, but I couldn’t rationalize spending that amount of cash on a thermometer.
During one of Jasper’s latest bouts with a fever, I saw one on sale at CVS for $35, and I caved. In total honesty, I love it and regret not ponying up the cash earlier.
There is no waiting; it instantly reads a temperature, without any contact to my fussy baby. Patrick, who has been known to (in my mind) over check temperatures, can click as often as he wants without interrupting Jasper’s routine. It was totally worth the dough.
