After Jasper recovered from a bout of the stomach flu, we decided that we needed to get out of the house and have some fun together. It was time for us all to escape our four walls, and we planned an impromptu field trip.
Frigid temperatures turned us indoors, so we decided to head to the Butterfly Place in Westford. Our commute was easy. Jasper and Patrick were both highly amused when we ran across a Chihuahua master electrician.
We toured the gardens for about 30 minutes- as much as our two-year old would allow. It was beautiful, warm, relaxing and family friendly.
Jasper’s favorite part was the tiny quail that had free range over the place. Patrick loved the giant chrysalises which moths had emerged from months before. There were butterflies eating bananas. Does it get any cooler than that?!
We took another 15 minutes to walk around the educational butterfly displays. I got to see a month emerge from its chrysalis. It was beautiful. In all, it was nothing short of a great day.
